VWC -Introduction to change

Have you ever paid attention to those adverts asking you to donate whatever you can so that you can help provide clean water to those children in Africa? I bet you just skipped the advert thinking OMG here we go again with another poverty portrayal of Africa and another institute here to take our money.

Well, I hate to break it to you but that advert was more than just a scheme to get your money or a bad representation of a continent. That is just a preview of the kind of struggle that a lot of children living in these corrupted and disaster areas have to deal with. According to WHO a child dies from hunger every 10 seconds and at least 100,000 babies die every year because of conflict. Take the War in Syria for example, can you imagine the number of children dying or being left homeless or orphaned every year!!!! the War has been going on 9 years and counting...... I don't know about you but these figure alone are more than enough for me to make me want to change this kind of narrative or way of living for a child.

I can barely contain the tears when I walk past a homeless child in the streets or on the tube, let alone the ones I don't see!!! This is why I have started VWC. I want to be able to help or at least make a difference for a child out there that might be losing hope or has run out of options to survive. There are a lot of organisations out there such as UNICEF, Hope of homes, Save the Children and many more that are doing the best that they can but with the help of someone like you or me their work could be made easier and impact more lives.

So I hope you guys will help me as I embark on this mission, and together we can make a difference.
